Building a New Computer For Use With an Older Monitor With a DVI-D Connection

If you are purchasing a new motherboard to build a computer and would like to connect it to an older monitor with a DVI-D connection, there are options available.  Finding a new motherboard with integrated graphics having a DVI-D port can be difficult, but the motherboard manufacturer Gigabyte does still have DDR4 compatible boards and DDR5 compatible boards available with a DVI-D port.  Another option is to purchase a motherboard with a DisplayPort connection and use a DisplayPort to DVI adapter.
