This video shows how to remove the Android TV stick in the Epson 2250 projector and connect a Fire TV Stick. You can remove the Android TV stick, and sell it with the additional remote that comes with the projector to recoup some of the projector purchase price. The Fire TV Stick remote can turn the projector on and off, and the Fire TV Stick remote can control the volume on the Sony AV receiver. Also, the video goes over some audio considerations. The projector was placed on the AV receiver for the purpose of creating the video. The projector should not be placed on the AV receiver when powered on so proper heat venting can be maintained.
Connecting the Fire TV Stick Using the Epson Power Supply
The Fire TV Stick can be connected using the power supply on the back of the projector. The HDMI extender cable that comes with the Fire TV Stick is needed due to the very short length of the USB power cable. The picture below shows this connection.
